Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 8 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings, photography sessions, digital artwork, printed products, personalised products, event services and other services supplied by House of Iris Limited in Gibraltar. Please read them before making a booking or placing an order.
About House of Iris
House of Iris Limited ("House of Iris", "we", "us" or "our") provides specialist iris photography, conventional photography, digital image editing, personalised artwork, prints, canvas products, ChromaLuxe® metal prints, keepsakes and mobile photography experiences for private and corporate events.
You can contact us at admin@houseofiris.gi.
Bookings and orders
A booking or order is not confirmed until we have accepted it. We may confirm acceptance by email, message, written quotation, invoice or another written confirmation.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact details, delivery information, names, artwork selections, sizes and any other information needed to complete your order. Please check all details carefully before approving an order for production.
Where a deposit or advance payment is required, the amount and payment terms will be stated before the booking is confirmed. Any additional products or upgrades requested after the original booking may be charged separately.
Prices and payment
Prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. We may update prices from time to time, but a price already confirmed for an accepted booking or order will not change unless you request a change to the order or we have clearly made an obvious pricing error.
Delivery, event attendance, additional editing, premium finishes, additional irises and other optional extras may carry additional charges. Any such charges will be explained before you commit to them.
Iris photography sessions
Iris photography is a photographic and artistic service. It is not a medical examination, eye test, diagnostic procedure or health assessment. We do not diagnose medical conditions from iris photographs.
During the session you will be asked to position your head and eye so that we can capture a detailed photograph. You must follow reasonable safety and positioning instructions given by us. If you experience discomfort, you should tell us immediately and we will stop or adjust the session.
We may decline or stop a session where we reasonably believe that it cannot be completed safely or where the subject cannot remain suitably positioned for a clear image.
Children and young people
A parent or legal guardian must approve a photography session for a child or young person where required. The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the child during the appointment and for confirming any artwork or product order made on the child's behalf.
We may decide not to proceed if a child is unable to remain still enough for the photograph to be captured comfortably and safely.
Editing and artistic appearance
Iris artwork is created through close-up photography and professional editing. Our editing process may include cropping, isolating the iris, removing reflections or surrounding eye detail, adjusting contrast, refining colour balance and creating artistic compositions.
Every iris is different and results will naturally vary. Examples shown on our website and social media are illustrative and cannot guarantee an identical colour, pattern, brightness or final appearance for another person.
Screen brightness, display calibration, print material and surface finish can also affect how colours appear. In particular, canvas, glossy paper and ChromaLuxe® metal may reproduce the same artwork differently.
Digital artwork
Where your package includes a digital image, we will supply the finished artwork in the format and resolution we consider suitable for the ordered product or package. Unless expressly agreed, raw camera files, layered editing files and working files are not included.
Once supplied, you may use your purchased digital artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes, including personal social media use and personal printing. You must not sell, license or commercially exploit our edited artwork without our written permission.
Prints and personalised products
Our physical products are produced from artwork created for a particular customer and are therefore normally personalised. This includes iris prints, canvas products, ChromaLuxe® metal prints, magnets, keychains and other made-to-order products.
Please check the selected artwork, names, composition, print size and delivery details before production begins. Once a personalised product has entered production, changes may no longer be possible and amounts already incurred may be non-refundable, subject always to your statutory rights.
Minor variations in colour, crop, finish, dimensions and placement can arise from manufacturing and are not necessarily defects. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
If you need to cancel or reschedule a photography session or event, please contact us as early as possible. Any booking-specific cancellation, rescheduling, deposit or event terms given to you in a quotation or confirmation will form part of your agreement with us.
For remote or off-premises purchases, you may have statutory cancellation rights. Those rights can differ where a service has begun at your express request, digital content has been supplied, or goods have been made to your specifications or are clearly personalised. Nothing in these Terms removes any cancellation, refund or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If we have to cancel a confirmed booking and cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will refund amounts paid for the part of the booking we cannot provide.
Delivery and collection
Estimated production and delivery times are estimates rather than guaranteed dates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed date in writing. Delays can occasionally arise because of suppliers, couriers, customs, weather or other matters outside our reasonable control.
You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. If a parcel is returned because the address supplied was incorrect, additional delivery charges may apply before it is resent.
If a product arrives visibly damaged, please contact us promptly and keep the packaging where possible. We may ask for photographs so that we can assess the damage and arrange an appropriate remedy.
Weddings, private events and corporate events
Event bookings are tailored to the venue, attendance time, anticipated guest numbers and selected package. Your quotation or booking confirmation may therefore contain additional event-specific terms.
The organiser is responsible for obtaining any permissions reasonably required from the venue and for providing suitable access, space and facilities that have been agreed with us. We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted venue access, late running of the event or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Guest throughput is an estimate and can vary depending on guest movement, cooperation, capture difficulty and the type of compositions requested.
Copyright and image usage
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, House of Iris retains copyright and other intellectual property rights in the edited artwork, layouts, compositions, website content, branding and creative materials we produce. Purchasing a digital file or physical product does not transfer copyright.
You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to enjoy and share the artwork for private, non-commercial purposes. Commercial use, resale, merchandise production, advertising use or licensing to third parties requires our prior written agreement.
We will not use an identifiable customer's iris photograph or finished artwork in our advertising, portfolio or social media merely because the customer purchased from us. Where we would like to use customer imagery for promotional purposes, we will seek separate permission.
Our website
We try to keep the website accurate and up to date, but photographs, descriptions, availability and examples may change. Website content is provided for general information and does not replace the details in an accepted quotation or booking confirmation.
Links to external websites or social media platforms are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.
Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses arising from a purchase made wholly for personal use. For business and corporate customers, any additional limitation of liability may be set out in the relevant quotation or contract.
Events outside our control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, venue closure, power or communications failure, supplier failure, government restrictions or similar events. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with you where appropriate.
Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available from the footer of this website. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle contact details, bookings, photographs, finished artwork and other personal information.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to a particular booking or order will normally be the version made available when that booking or order was accepted, unless a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Gibraltar. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction applicable under Gibraltar law, without depriving a consumer of any mandatory rights or protections available to them under applicable law.
Questions, complaints or requests can be sent to admin@houseofiris.gi.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how House of Iris Limited collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you visit our website, contact us, make a booking, attend a photography session, place an order or take part in one of our events.
Who is responsible for your personal data?
House of Iris Limited is the controller of personal data processed for our photography, artwork, booking and customer-service activities.
For privacy questions or to exercise your data-protection rights, contact us at admin@houseofiris.gi.
Data we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number and contact details;
- booking details, appointment dates, event information and correspondence;
- order details, selected products, delivery or collection information;
- payment and transaction information provided to us or generated by a payment provider;
- photographs captured during your session, including close-up photographs of the eye and iris;
- edited iris artwork, compositions and print-ready image files;
- permissions you give us, including any separate permission to use an image for promotional purposes;
- information relating to a child or young person where a parent or guardian arranges the session;
- technical information that may be generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser or device information and basic server logs; and
- any other information you choose to provide when communicating with us.
How we use iris photographs
We capture and process close-up photographs of your iris for the purpose of creating the artwork and products you request. Editing may include isolating the iris, removing surrounding eye detail or reflections, refining contrast and colour balance, and combining multiple irises into a composition.
We do not use iris photographs for biometric identification, authentication, security access or identity matching. We also do not intentionally analyse iris photographs to diagnose health conditions or infer sensitive characteristics about you.
Why we use your personal data
We may process personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and provide quotations;
- arrange and manage appointments or event bookings;
- capture, edit and deliver your iris artwork;
- manufacture, personalise and deliver physical products;
- take payment and maintain transaction records;
- provide customer support and deal with changes, complaints or product issues;
- manage our business, suppliers, website and security;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations; and
- send marketing communications or use customer imagery for promotion only where we have an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, your consent.
Our lawful bases
Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis may be that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform our contract with you; that processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business; that we must comply with a legal obligation; or that you have given consent.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time for future processing. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful.
Marketing and use of customer images
Purchasing from House of Iris does not automatically give us permission to publish your iris photograph, finished artwork or other identifiable photograph in advertising, on our website or on social media.
If we would like to feature your imagery, we will ask separately. You may decline without affecting your booking or order. If you later withdraw a promotional consent, we will stop new uses where reasonably possible, although we may not be able to recall material that has already been printed, shared or lawfully published.
If you opt in to marketing messages, you can unsubscribe or ask us to stop at any time.
Children's information
Where a child takes part in a photography session, we may process the child's name, booking information and photographs as needed to provide the requested service. A parent or guardian should provide or approve the information where required.
We do not use a child's image for promotional purposes merely because a session has been purchased. Separate permission will be sought where promotional use is proposed.
Who we may share data with
We only share personal data where reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Recipients may include:
- professional print, canvas, metal-print and personalised-product suppliers;
- couriers and delivery providers;
- payment processors and banking providers;
- email, cloud storage, IT, website and software providers;
- professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or legal advisers;
- event venues or organisers where information is genuinely needed to deliver an event; and
- public authorities, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
We aim to provide suppliers only with the information they need. For example, a print supplier may need the finished artwork and product specification but would not normally need unrelated booking correspondence.
International transfers
Some service providers may store or process information outside Gibraltar. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we will take steps required by applicable data-protection law to ensure an appropriate level of protection, which may include using recognised transfer safeguards or relying on an applicable adequacy arrangement.
How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to complete your artwork or order, provide after-sales support, maintain appropriate business records, establish or defend legal claims, and comply with legal, tax and accounting requirements.
Raw photographs, working files and finished artwork may be retained for a reasonable period after delivery so that we can complete corrections, replacements, reprints or additional products. We periodically review retained image files and delete or anonymise information that is no longer reasonably required, subject to any legal obligation or agreed longer-term storage arrangement.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Access to customer images and records is limited to people and service providers who need them for legitimate business purposes.
No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we will take appropriate steps to respond to suspected personal-data incidents and make notifications where the law requires them.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to be informed about our processing and to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to certain processing. You may also have rights in relation to automated decision-making.
Some rights are subject to legal conditions or exemptions. To exercise a right, email admin@houseofiris.gi. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal data.
Cookies and website technology
Our current website is designed primarily to display information and allow you to contact us. We do not intentionally use non-essential advertising or analytics cookies unless they are introduced and appropriately disclosed.
The website may load resources such as fonts, images or links from third-party services. Those providers may receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, when their resources are requested. If we later introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies, we will update our information and obtain consent where required.
Instagram and external websites
Our website links to our Instagram account and may link to other external services. When you leave our website, the external provider's own privacy terms apply. We do not control how those third parties process information on their platforms.
Complaints
We would appreciate the opportunity to address any privacy concern first. Please contact us at admin@houseofiris.gi.
You also have the right to raise a data-protection complaint with the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority in its capacity as Gibraltar's Information Commissioner. Further information is available on the GRA's data-protection website.
